I have a Sanyo DS31590 31" TV. I purcshased it 1999 or 2000. External attenna, cable, and satellite ready. Remote even has codes controlling cable and satellite receivers. Am I ready for Digital Signal for 02/09? Or do I need a Analog to Digital Converter Box? Have try Owner's Manual, calling and online support from Sanyo with no answers. Any good suggestion from knowledgeable persons would be appreciated.

  1. Your Sanyo DS31590 only has an analog (NTSC) tuner, so if you are receiving TV signals with an antenna you will need a converter box.

There are already digital TV broadcasts in most areas.

The 2/17/09 date is only for the shutdown of most analog over the air broadcasts and has nothing to do with cable or satellite TV service.

And coupon type converter boxes have nothing to do with cable or satellite TV service.
