  1. Yes.  The cost is controversial because of the way space programs overlap.  You might as well pick $100 billion as a nice, round number.


  2. Im sure it cost is alot more than we would even like to know - I dont think they will ever stop working on it - repairs etc.

  3. Even wikipedia doesn't give a straight answer.  It looks like in billions of US $:

    100 NASA

    157 ESA

    10 Jaxa

       1+ Roskosmos

       1.4 CSA

    Call it $270 billion before end of program in 2017.

  5. The International Space Station is still being constructed. Save another disaster the ISS will be completed 2010.

    The price of the space station is variable as one can include many different projects related to the space station in all of the involved space agencies making some estimates rather bloated, but one thing is for sure... the International Space Station is the single most expensive object ever constructed. The Three Gorges Dam in China is a distant second.
