  1. Just take a plane. Or car pool with other another person that can help buy gas. Its 20 cents sheaper down south then on long island so dont vacation in long island. Oh Just have fun at the race dont worry bout gas oils starting to go down if it goes down $23 gas will go down. A barrel of oil is now $123 so were starting to lower it. Hopefully gas gets to $2 somethin a gallon than we dont have to worry.

  2. The gas prices are basically keeping people from doing a lot of "un-necessary" driving but when it's race day and you have that chance to go to a nearby track..................ALL BETS ARE OFF!!!

Lets go racing boys (and girls!!!)..................................

  3. The media was talking about this subject when I was in Charlotte for the All-Star Race and the Coke 600. But it didn't seem to stop the fans, it sure didn't stop me, I drove up from Florida and I'd do it again...

  4. with all the money they make i doubt they care about gas prices, they use a different fuel anyway.

  5. I don't know much about NASCAR, but I do know, that NASCAR fans are VERY loyal to the sport. I think it may hurt a little, but not a lot.

  6. My husband works for chevy and we get discount prices. So we still plane to go this fall. If we had to pay full price I doubt we would go.

  7. No price gas did Nascar affect them not but however then Nascar spent gas on the trip to Daytona and gas price were up and worry them.

  8. Yes Nascar is a little worried, now most tracks are offering packages that are affordable for Fans, such as  Darlington, from my personal opinion and attending the race..I bought the combined package for pit passes, food(all u can eat), hotel and seating .  It was very affordable to bundle the package to suit my needs I had 6 in my party and was well satisfied.

Other tracks are offering the same type packages..go to the individual websites for the track of choice and check it out, thanks for the question.

  9. I start saving for the gas for Bristol spring race the day after we come home, the same for the fall race...2 separate envelopes.

We camp track side, with everyday people. alot of people are not really happy about gas or food prices hiking as they have. I am not going ot give up going to Bristol in no way shape or form, if I gotta cut back on some stuff to get there we do........it is hard, but I jsut am to selffish aobut going to thundervalley,,,I jsut  "gotta go"

  10. I heard on a NASCAR broadcast just yesterday that some of the track owners are talking about lowering the cost of the tickets so people will still be able to attend races.   It's a start at least.

  11. Me personally I have cancelled my vacation this year pulling the camper to the UP here in MI would be double the price it was last year and that leaves nothing left to spend for us to have fun so that I will do without.  NASCAR....oh h**l no.  I will be going to MIS twice this year. Of course I did have to choose between vacation and NASCAR because of the outrageous gas gouging prices & my choice is NASCAR.  I will put up a wading pool and the kids can pretend they are on vacation...he, hee!!  Horrible aren't I.
