Is NFL star Kurt Warner really the grandson of legendary coach "Pop" Warner?

I have heard this rumor over and over. Does anyone know for sure?

  2. I don't think the ages match up quite right. Glenn "Pop" Warner was born in 1871 (died 1954). Kurtis E. "Kurt" Warner was born in 1971.

    Typically, grandparents are 40-60 years older than their grandchildren (this isn't a rule, it's just a common norm; my Grandma was almost 70 when I was born).

    That and they're from different parts of the country (Pop was from New Yoirk, Kurt is from Iowa).
