  1. In my view nod32 is the best virus scanner for someone that doesn't want to look at it and play around with the software. It rates in the top 3 for speed and is the best for it comes to memory.

As for the guy below me i wouldn't install norton c**p even if it was free. It will slow down your system like crazy.

  2. yes it`s good A. V. S.

  3. YA NOD32 (NEW COMPLETE SECURITY)IS BETTER CHICE THAN KASPERSKY... KASPERSKY IS THE BEST ANTIVIRUS BUT IT SLOWDOWN THE SYSTEM AND YOU CANT MAKE IT FULL BY CRACK. SO ALWAYS GO FOR TRIAL ANTIVIRUS FIRST KASPERSKY-30 DAYS, THEN NOD-30DAYS THEN NORTON -30DAYS THEN AVG FULL FOR ONE YEAR, THEN AVAST FULL FOR ONE YEAR (FREE)OR AT LAST GO FOR CA ANTIVIRUS OR AVIRA..THANKS

  4. NOD32 used to be good. now, their new version (v3.x.x) just sucks. it slows down my computer bigtime. if you dont believe me try to visit their official support forums at http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisp...

i suggest you get norton internet security 2008. way better.

  5. Yes, It is good for home users.

  6. The other day, my free anti-virus program caught a Trojan virus.

To ensure that the virus caught is not a false positive,

I upload it to virus total web site to check.

    http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/c3558...

To my surprise, all the big names in Anti-virus industry cannot detect

the Trojan. The one that detect the Trojan are mainly the free version.

Later, I found out that most malwares are designed to attack popular

antivirus products (like NOD32), but since free anti-virus

product is much less used, it's capable of fighting the viruses when

    industry leaders fail.

So I would go for the free version rather than the bloated and

    unreliable branded version.

I would suggest that you get Avast Home Edition version 4,

which is free for personal use.

Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do

a boot time scan in safe mode and it will remove the entire virus on your PC.

Even those viruses that hide inside the system restore folder.

Windows utilize a restore utility that backs up selected files

automatically to the System volume information /System Restore folder.

This means that an infected file could be stored there as a backup file,

and most anti-virus programs will be unable to delete these files. You

must disable the System Restore Utility to remove the infected files

from the folder if you use another brand of anti-virus. However, you do

not need to do so if you use Avast to do a boot up scan in safe mode.
