Is NYC a bad place to live putting aside the over crowded part?

I really wanna move there...although ppl after ppl tell me its a bad idea...

its really not that bad

it depends on the neighborhood really. if you cant afford to live in the city try brooklyn. lots of manhattan people are moving to brooklyn.

try cobble hill, park slope, clinton hill, anywhere downtown brooklyn is good. its might be a bit pricey but less expensive than manhattan
