With new light shining on Nancy Pelosi's investment in Pickens windpower plan, is this the reason she is keeping a vote on drilling off the coast?

  1. Well she won't be led away in handcuffs, but it does point out that those people ( politicians ) are ALL just sweet-talking BS artists...

she will even " paint" her favorable treatment as " good for the country" yadda- yadda, etc. Gov vehicles will be switching to nat gas...no matter what it costs " for the good of the country" ( but we won't mention who is going to re-tool all the vehicles...and who owns the nat gas facilities...and especially won't mention how much it will cost taxpayers) No one in congress treats spending money like its hard to get...because IT ISN'T..."we just all get together and pass a new law..and collect our just rewards... 'cause you know how hard it is to be flying around first class, campaigning for more money and such"

Just tuckers us all out... so we need " fact- finding trips" ( again: first class) to just so many different places around the world.

  2. Probably not a conflict in the legal sense...just typical of all the politicians. I guess all the BS about " change" just means " we will change who gets all the favorable deals".

Same with  " Obbie" .." Dead set AGAINST those evil, nasty " private interests".... well, what is a teachers' union if it's not a private interest?? Decisions will be made on what those fatcats want ( YES...many of them ARE ) ...not on what's best for students...AND ESPECIALLY NOT what's best for taxpayers !!

  3. She can vote for subsidy.  She can block legislation that would help exploration, nuclear, and coal.  She is a criminal.  She puts her interests first and ours a distant second.  She has blocked energy production while investing in questionable wind farm development.  Wind requires backup generation when the wind dies down, so we build twice for the same energy.  Cost of capital investment in two sources serves only one goal, to line the pockets of the wealthy, like Pelosi, the criminal.  We are just slaves to these people.  We are only sheep to be sheared.  Maybe we just need to air up our car tires.  You see, it is our fault.  We use to much, we eat to much, we need to spend our money on higher taxes so that Pelosi can give herself more subsidy.  The rich get richer, and we just pay pay pay.

  4. I do not know whether it's a conflict or not...but it is typical.

...but I don't care, because I'm invested in CLNE ( Boone Pickens outfit)... and I don't care where the money comes from, either...( I've paid more than my " fair" share...and I hope I'll collect something now)

I live in Chicago...and so does a certain otherr person...and I pay more in property taxes on my little house on a 25 ft lot...than he pays on a " mansion" on three lots... and I'm supposed to give a c**p about what's " fair" and " change" ?  Pretty soon, that's all I'll have left out of my hard- earned pay...change !!

  5. I don't think so. Her vote is one of many. She has the right to invest as she sees fit and vote as she sees right.

It's a different story with government officials who make executive decisions. To avoid conflict of interest, I think Bush and Cheney have put their money in blind trusts.

Congresspeople are free to manage their money and they may see alternative energy a wise investment choice. John McCain is free to invest in oil now and advocate off-shore drilling. But if he is elected, he should be isolated from his investments.
