  1. Single word answer NO.

No consistancy in the rules, and too much wall street rump kissing.

  2. Is bettering any relationship to gooderer?????

    Most bestest maybe.

I think that they have taken NASCAR and Stock Car racing to a different level.

Let's face it, there will never be a race like the 1979 Daytona 500. Charlotte in the past, Rockingham, etc.

The sport has to evolve as the world does. You don't see football players wearing leather helmets anymore.

I accept progress as a natural evolution of the sport.

  3. I think, they think they are...

  4. NASCAR has peaked. So has a lot of auto racing (1/4 miles going to 1/8 mile). They had no control over the American automotive industries, and when the American auto industries became weakened by foreign auto manufacturers NASCAR did what they could to keep the sport the best that they could. It's not NASCARs fault the American auto industry let us down. Now they just regulate the competition to be as close as possible, to still hold some of it's heritage. It's fading fast, but it's all we got. Which isn't bad. NASCAR is still the epitome of all motorsports and more exciting and intense for it's duration than any other sport I know. So they may not be bettering the sport (they don't control the American automotive industry) , but they are making it sustain. And I thank NASCAR for that. That is a good thing.

  5. It depends on what you mean by "bettering".  Better for who's agenda?!  For me, no, the sport is not becoming better.  It's becoming slightly worse with time.

  6. yeah that's what i think

now only if they would stop letting the popular drivers cheat

  7. Bettering for their wallets, but not for the fans or the sport!

The so-called head honchos need to realize they are not bigger than the sport... like they tell the drivers!

  8. Aside from the changes made in the name of safety?  No.  They should learn when to quit.

    *MOJO*

  9. No...  just their wallets.

    On the fans expense

  10. No they are not. The last few years have been really .... well... sucks...!!! I remember times when I use to could not sit down on the couch because I was always standing up shouting (even if I was watching the race alone).

Now I can barely remember times when I slide to the edge of the couch.

  11. NASCAR thinks they are. But then they really don't know their rear bumper from their quarter panel

  12. For themselves.
