  1. I don't know, I stopped buying the EA NASCAR games after NASCAR 07, eventually I discovered how awesome NASCAR Racing 2003 is, it is wat better

  2. NR2003 is the best NASCAR game

but if your like me and liked Nascar thunder04 , Chase for the cup 05, and Total team control06  then you'll like NASCAR09 there making a decent comeback

  3. no, i played the demo and shut it off after a couple laps. crashing is the most unrealistic thing ever.

  4. I am soooo with TL on that one. Nascar 03 was THE BEST!! It was the first one I started playing. I bought 07 and was pretty pleased with too, though. Then, 08 came out and I traded it back in within a week. All the good stuff, they took out, and they made it hard, even on rookie AI. I mean, you couldn't win a license challenge to save your life and it ended up costing you $50,000 and you'd waste it. Now, I bought 09, it's still that same darn setup though. It is easier to navigate and the cars control better, but still, Nascar messed up when they totally took away from the concept of 03. I haven't played the online play yet, so that I'm not sure of. But, if you didn't like 08, you won't like 09. Plus, if you were  a fan of 07 and all the releases before that, you will be very disappointed. I'm very disappointed myself. I hope that if you do buy it, you don't waste your money and you do enjoy it :)

  5. I have it on XBOX 360 and havnt bought the wheel yet but am gonna get it soon.  I think the game is 1000 times better than 08.  The AI is a bit over-cautious and don't really race you as hard as they should but they don't just run into you when your in their way like last year.  The online play is nice, they did a good job of creating a multi-grooved racing.  You can race the high line or low line and still be fast.  That can make for some pretty fun finishes.  The graphics are unbelievable with the lighting effects.  The window net and air hoses shake from the wind blowing in the car when you're driving which is neat.  The detail of the tracks is awesome.  The infields have so much details that are unbelievable and outside the track is good too.  I've been to pocono before and I felt like i was there in real life.  They've done a good job with the damage and you no longer destroy a car by lightly tapping the car in front of you.

One thing that takes a while to figure out is your performance points.  You earn this by completing sponsorship obligations and Driver Challenges.  You then spend them on four categories: Speedway, Superspeedway, Short Track, and Road Course.  In these categories there are four more categories: Engine, Durability, Aerodynamics, and Chassis.  You start at 50 and spend points on areas you want to improve.  The only problem I've had is that some areas you improve hurt your lap times more than helping you.  It takes a lot of trial and error to learn what helps what and what hurts you.  All in all I think it is worth buying, but it wouldn't hurt to rent it and see for yourself
