God certainly did bless New Orleans with the best music in the world. Jazz, Zydeco, Cajun music, Brass Band music. New Orleans is a gem.

...I hate myself for finding this amusing.  And even if it was intended as a joke and not a question - Katrina was a horrible, devastating tragedy.  But what came in the aftermath in terms of humanity is uplifting.  And now, the preparations for Gustav are extreme and extensive.  

It's a crying shame what happened during K, but look how far the city and her people have come.

People -- lighten up!  Yes, it's a tragedy what happened to the people living there.  Tragedies happen all around us every second of the day -- most go unnoticed and aren't on the evening news.  So shrug, be thankful for the good in life, and yes, make merciless fun of the other things.  You can have a good laugh at serious things while still believing they are serious.  ;)
