  1. I live in Houston too. Its a possibility that it will hit us too. Look at weatherbug.com. I hope nothing devastating happens to New Orleans again. God bless the Gulf Coast.

  2. i think that is not good...new orleans is not ready for any more hurricanes...EVER!!!!!!!!! they are still rebuilding it...i dont really know i dont live there...

  3. Ready or not, New Orleans may get hit. Their protection is worse than it was before Katrina.

At this time the predicted path is hardly accurate. Gustav could hit any where between Miami and the Yucatan.

  4. I'm fat

  5. All of the levees that were damaged by Katrina have been repaired, and the levee system is getting a $14 Billion upgrade (not finished yet).

Even the most dramatic forecasts show Gustav making landfall as category 3 storm that will be much, much weaker than  Katrina. Gustav is very unlikely to threaten the integrity of the levee system.

Our greatest concern right now is because the drainage system was very badly damaged by Katrina and have not been completely repaired.  There is a probability of rainwater flooding if Gustav does strike NOLA.

  6. It may not be 100 percent ready...but much better than it did during Huricane Katrina.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, New Orleans was only 38 percent ready for the storm.

This time, New Orleans, I guess, won't take any chances and force all of the residents out..especially those in the 9th ward that got hit very hard when one of the big levees shattered during the storm. If that happens, New Orleans will be about 89 percent ready for the next hurricane, Gustav...even if the New Orleans' levees are not completely finished.
