  1. err, i want to know too....

  2. It depends on what you mean by "live together". NYC has one of the highest gap in income per capita in the US. This means that there are many rich people but also poor people living in the same city. Of course, they are certain neighborhoods that are more expensive than others and the Free Market(demand and supply with no barriers) itself tend to dictate where each group is going to live, etc. Yet, at the same time, there are some programs from NYC that can let a poor people live in the same area or even building as many people with respectable income...

A person amking around $20,000 is considered poor and the average is around $65,000 (middle income). But usually $100,000 or more is upper middle class. However, wealth is  assets-liabilities and in NYC, a person needs to have a couple of Millions in order to be considered rich.

So, in summary, they do coexist together in the smae city and in some area/buildings but they do not live the same kind of life together.....

  3. I think its a city only for the rich.  I've seen what it cost to live there lately and it seems like you have to be a millionaire to be there.  Since there are alot of corporate jobs there, that could be the reason why real estate is so expensive.  It doesn't give people who are homeless much of a chance.  I would say that I would not want to live there.  I like where I live which is out of the country far from the limelight.
