Curious Georgette, Life insurance covers lots of different things. Since I live in Alaska I'm not familiar with the New York laws and regulations, so I recommend you call a nearby life insurance agent. http://www.usinsuranceadvisor.com/Life-I... They should be able to help you.

Life Insurance sales is a tough business.

They are big & have been around for a long time, some they must be doing a few things right.

NY Life is a reputable company. Their training is one of the best (along with Pru and Met).

However, if you go to work for them, insist that you have broker rights...that is...you would be able to sell products from companies that do not directly compete with NY Life.
