  1. Take a TRUP from Oz. It should only take about s*x hours. Don't get MEXED AP with the two countries, they have many distinctions. Or spend TIN dollars and buy yourself a guide to the place.

  2. I have lived in Canada, the US, UK, Germany, France, Paraguay, and India before moving to NZ.

I have also traveled to about 30 other countries.

    My opinion is this:

Yes, New Zealand probably is the best place in the world to live, with the possible inclusion of:

    North Wales

    Sweden

    Western Canada

I would base my opinion on the following observations:

New Zealand offers a sophistication in education, mentality, and societal organization which can run with the best of Northern Europe. That's quite something, especially for a place which also happens to be nuclear-free, has no animals that can kill you with just one bite, never gets really cold or really hot, is able to pretty much grow its own food and then some, and is isolated from the madness of the rest of the world in an extra- sleepy corner of the southern Pacific. Add to that a generally sumptuous lifestyle (everybody can own a nice house, a car or two, a boat, and whatever toys they like), and the ability to reach landscapes with unbelievably diverse attractions within a short time by car just about anywhere, and you've got a recipe for a really great place.

I'm not the kind of guy who languishes in a place he thinks isn't the best he can get. Trust me, I've tried all the usual suspects, and my choice is NZ.

If there was a better country to be living in, I would be there.

But I don't think there is.

  3. Why are you asking this in the Australian section? New Zealand has its own section and is a totally separate and independent country

  4. yes it definetly is and its definetly not part of australia (hence should be asked in NZ section) I've travelled / lived for a period of time in the states and also travelled to canda, uk, and a lot of Europe and NZ is definetly always going to be home for me, theres so much to do, see and soak up it really is amazing and we have some of the best food and wine in the world too

  5. Ask the Kiwi's not us. How would we know? We are Australians
