  1. i think that is a combination of antivirus and firewall.

but if you havent paid for it already, i recommend you Avira antivirus personal edition. it is completely free and shares the same virus detection engine as the paid version. it has this heuristic detection feature which defends you from not just the viruses that have been discovered, but also the freshly written viruses by  checking it with the characteristics of all the viruses in its database. the scanning is also one of the fastest.

for firewall, comodo firewall is known to be the best. Even though it is COMPLETELY FREE, it is better than zonealarm or any other paid firewalls.

using both of them simultanously wont slow your computer down nearly as much as norton.

  2. Yes it is. Thats just the way Symantec brands its products.

    Very not straight forward

  3. yes it is

but dont bother with norton use AVG its free and works

  4. those 2 products are form symantec corporation. Norton Antivirus protects your pc from trojans, worms, downloaders and is limited in viruses, while the Norton Internet Security filters out the webpages you've visited from malwares and adwares so expect your connection to slack off!!

  5. Honestly, yes but they do have differences, obviously, the Norton IS supports most of its protection on blocking incoming threats from the network or web while the Norton AV focuses its protection mostly on the threats that have already entered your computer. If you really care much about your computer's privacy and welfare and is willing to pay for such protection, I recommend Kaspersky Anti-virus Version 7 or later, it has a rated of 98% detection rating and removal as well. For optimum protection, do put a firewall, Anti-virus, Anti-malware and a router :D Good day! hehe hope I helped
