  1. It can be kind of tough-some of the sounds disappear in connected speech and the orthography isnt phonetic really...  


  2. Hei. A few sounds might be challenging for many non-Norwegians. Each multi-syllabic word is one of two tones, but very few learners worry about that aspect, and they get along just fine. The grammar is relatively simple for English speakers.

  3. Nope. My friend speaks Norwegian, and she teaches me bits and pieces of it every now and then, and I find it easy to pick up on. It's a very beautiful language actually.
