Is Nutella vegan friendly?

I don't eat it and I'm not a vegan anyways. Somebody claiming to be vegan in another question was talking about eating it in another of their questions.

  1. No it contains Dairy

  2. I *think* it depends on where you are.  Nutella available in the US isn't (milk, I think) but I believe the Nutella sold in Europe might be.  I seem to recall someone in Europe offering vegan Nutella as part of a care package swap on a vegan forum I belong to.

  3. I believe not, but there is a vegan substitute that is sold online (and probably at health food stores).
