Is O'Sullivan and Hendry overall better players than Davis was?

Just checked a survey, and people rated O'Sullivan and Hendry as better players of the game... I'm shocked!

because anyone who can remember the Davis prime years will know just how untouchable and how far ahead he was compared to the other players of the time...

Hendry was after davis's time but hendry is far better than davis and the rocket.Snooker is a scottish/welsh dominated sport the english don't stand a chance.

This is really a hard question to answer, having said so i think Davis was the best around his time and as for Hendry he is the best in his time. The game and the ideas have changed as time progresses so is our everyday life. There is no doubt in my mind they are a legend in their time and will always be.

For those people that rated O'Sullivan and Hendry better then Davis is like saying the old Ferrari is better then the new Ferraris.

These people needs to take into account the time , era and also mental attitude during that period of time.

well steve davids was untouchable coz during his prime those 'world number 67 beating world number 5' didnt happen that often...nowadays any1 is capable of beating any1... im ronnies fan but i hv to say hendry is more of a legend comparing to ronnie n steve...but i really admire davids that hes been on the circuit for more than 20 yrs!!! really hope he will be there for the next 10 yrs...but for ronnie..well...he just walked out from the match...gd luck to him...

Well i'de say that o'sullivan is technically the best player, but they all have different games!

Its like saying who's better rooney or charlton? They are both excellent but the game is alot different now than it used to be

davis himself said hendry in the 80s was better than him same as in all sports  the next generation is better  by do  iknow it  iam now 60plus  these young ones today are far superior at sport  take that from one who knows if you dont believe me ask steve davis himself

Steve Davis may not be the most technically brilliant player, but for him to stay within the top echelons of the game for over 20 years makes him the greatest snooker player ever in my eyes.

Steve davis is a legend and one of my sporting heros from the 80s but hendry is the greatest all round player ive ever seen and seven world titles prove that too.Alex higgins still is the most natural gifted player ever similar to george best at football too.
