  1. You must have missed a memo. Obama is correct on the effectiveness of conservation.  In fact, McCain ADMITTED that research shows proper car maintenance can save an enormous amount of gas over the life of a car.  He did this just as his campaign was trying to belittle Obama's idea by passing out tire gauges.  You gotta love McBush...

  2. Answer....Possibly, after all, they both work

Comment...Nice try, but the truly informed are not fooled by your attempted troll expedition. It is a proven fact if everyone in america aired their tires correctly, we would save the same amount of fuel we will get out of ANWR...look it up, and please go away...thanks!!

  3. Yes it is....

One assumed we where walking around wearing tank-tops in the winter, the other one assumed  most of us are driving on flat tires.

Don't people in this country realize that the companies that are pushing GREEN agenda are the same companies that profit big time by selling us the $hit that they make.

  4. His energy plan is to convert all the hot air from the republican party convention into steam generated electricity.

Never before have so many words been spoken (by the republican party) that have born so little consequence for the people of the United States.  Empty words from puppet leaders.

  5. another jimmy carter in office...brrrrr, just got chills up and down my spine, PEANUT FARMERS SHOULDN'T BE PRESIDENTS!!

  6. You can laugh or make silly comparisons, but each idea does work, if only more people would conserve energy, by doing simple tasks.

In case you have not noticed the price of petroleum and gasoline has fallen past few weeks due to conservation and reduced consumption, not because we've drilled more oil wells, or increased the supplies.

Perhaps "don't drive on tires that are under-flated" has worked, and you just want to not think that perhaps Obama hit on a trick that really works.

I've been cutting back on driving, making fewer unnecessary trips, shopping at stores that are closer.  Are you going to ridicule me, because I save only a gallon a week?

One hundred million drivers saving one gallon a week, is 100 millions fewer gallons we need to refine, or import from our enemies.

Think about that.  Sometimes the most simple solutions work best.

  7. Some times the simplest solutions are the best.  I think it is better than lying about WMDS to invade a country to steal its oil and spending billions of tax payer dollars to do it.

Whoopee!  I love paying over $4/gal for gas and hundreds for gas and electricity.  Gas was $1.43/gal when Clinton left office.  Obviously the Repud energy plans aren't working and are bankrupting America.

Carter had good ideas which if implemented would have lead to energy independence decades ago.  Unfortunately Jimmy was sandwiched between the corruption/ineptitude of Nixon/Ford and the corruption and greed of the Reagan Bush years.

  8. ding ding ding!!!! did anyone watch the opening prayer today at the DNC? It was given by a muslim... need we say more?

  9. pretty much

  10. never heard it was ever a plan but just a note

  11. What's so bad about checking the pressure in your tires?  It DOES make a difference in gas mileage.  Sounds like good advice to me.  The wearing a sweater thing also works.

Obama didn't present using a tire gauge as his "energy plan".  Both he and Carter are trying to tell us that we need to be aware of the energy we are using and to conserve.  I don't see how you can find fault in this!  This is REAL conservatism, the kind my grandparents taught!

  12. It's sad that people in this country don't realize how to conserve energy. The best way to lower energy costs is by cutting energy use. I find most people in this country are too ignorant to understand how to use less energy. Proper tire inflation makes a big difference in mileage. So does installing things like more energy efficient bulbs to light your house. Yes, turning down the heat, or not using your A/C so much would have a huge impact if people would realize the cumulative effects if everyone did that. I think it's a great idea to find ways to lessen your energy use and I'm sure Mother Nature will thank you for it. You have to become proactive to lower your energy costs, don't just count on politicians to change the world by allowing holes to be poked in the ground for oil as the world may be changed in ways that you might not want like global warming.

  13. Yes, quite similar, and just as ineffective.

  14. Sean Hannity's thanks you for biting off his talking points. I know this may be hard, but try using your brain and finding some of your own.

  15. dead on....

  16. It's something that works but it ain't much.

  17. I prefer the drill where there is no oil solution.  Drilling works!  If we just keep drilling theres' bound to be oil somewhere.  Why don't silly libs get it?

  18. Unfortunately, the parallels don't end there.

Both entered the presidential race after a dismal Republican term.

Gerald Ford was despised for pardoning Nixon, and Bush's present numbers are hovering around 30% - one can only hope the results aren't the same.

  19. If you're a Democrat, you get a free tire gauge AND a sweater.
