Is Obama's "broken promise" vis a vis campaign financing much ado about nothing?

From how ravenously the GOP is hopping on this, one can tell that they consider it the mis-step they've been praying for. But are they maybe over-reacting or over-reaching? Does America really care about this issue? Is it possible that this is more attempted rabble-rousing that doesn't translate to an authentic issue for mom and pop just trying to pay the bills and hoping things will get better soon?

What does a man's word mean?  What does an agreement mean to you and is it important for your elected officials to be trustworthy?

I think it is small potatoes, whipped up as much as possible for obvious reasons by the party currently trailing.
