Question:

Is Obama Still The "Change" Candidate?

I'm asking for an informed response. Here are some statements that go against Obama being the candidate of change:

- He Chose a Washington insider as his running mate

- The speech he gave on economics weren't that different from the point of view of past Democratic candidates

- In contrast with John McCain, he has no history of bipartisan politics.

I am looking for an informed response. Any straight out attacks will be ignored. I will choose the one who best answers these three arguments as best answer.

  4. The only thing Obama wants to change is from a democracy to socialism.

  5. OBAMA TALKS CHANGE! MCCAIN SHOWED CHANGE ! I NEED SAY NO MORE!

  6. i think he definitely wants to change things but hes realizing that most Americans arnt as "crazy" as he is . so hes trying to tone down his speeches to soften his image. maybe more people would vote for him if he was less in to the extreme socialist thing

  11. of course.

  12. "My Friends, We are living in the greatest nation in the planet and we are going to "CHANGE" it!"

    LOL

  13. Never was. Never will be.

  14. 1) Since Obama has spent so little time at the federal level of government, he will need an experienced Washington insider to help implement his change.  The other Washington insiders in Congress would eat him up alive if he tried without Biden's help.

    2) Allowing Democrats to implement their economic plan would be a change.

    3) Allowing Democrats to have uncompromising control of Washington, D.C., would also be a change.

Out of the last quarter century, we've only only had one Democrat president, and he had to deal with a very hostile Republican Congress for most of his term.  Obama's vision for America's future is a stark departure from the direction the Republicans are leading us.  If Obama is elected, the Democrats will have the opportunity to implement Obama's change with a minimum of Republican obstructionism.

Edit: As for why pick Biden over Hillary, Biden his known for his candor while too many people associated with the Clintons have died under questionable circumstances.  Would you trust Hillary to be only one more questionable death away from the presidency as your vice president?
