Question:

Is Obama blatantly mocking his base with the music he is introduced with?

Every time Obama is introduced he plays U2s song "City of Blinding lights" which the lyrics go....

The more you see the less you know

The less you find out as you go

I knew much more then than I do now

In the city of blinding lights,

The more you know

The less you feel

Some pray for, others steal

Blessings not just for the ones who kneel, luckily

seems to me hes calling himself an empty suit and is stating that if you knew more about him you wouldnt feel the same. Then states some steal and some pray (being that others cling to guns and religion It seems he is of the stealing kind, as in my hard earned money.)

Is it coincidence that the song he chose fits him so perfectly or is he that brazen?

  1. Yes, absolutely

  2. Yeah his supporters are blinded by the "heavenly" light emanating from that empty suit. I'm surprised they haven't started using backlighting to make him look like the divine chosen one.

  3. He's using it to knock Washington DC, the city of blinding lights. and Republicans, Others steal  / blessings not just for the ones who kneel, luckily

  4. Or it could just be a song and you are reading to much into it and making a waste of your time.

  5. You don't understand the song. It's saying that the more you know the more you realise that you don't know anything ie. knowledge kills arrogance and makes you open minded and able to learn/ appreciate others point of view and see the big picture.

  6. I think you are entirely missing the nuances of that song.  Read the lyrics again and think about them.

  7. He is convinced the Americans are a bunch of fools,He can say anything do nothing and people will buy it,Wake up America

  8. No, he's coming on to them. Makes more sense than your interpretation.

"And I miss you when you're not around

I'm getting ready to leave the ground

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

In the city of blinding lights

    Time...time...time...time...time

Won't leave me as I am

But time won't take the boy out of this man

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

In the city of blinding lights"

    Funny though
