Is Obama the second coming?

This is what Obama said during his "historical" speech on Thursday Aug 28 2008. He MUST be the second coming if he thinks he could pull all of this off AND lowers our taxes!

As president, I will.....

fix the economy

cut taxes for 95% of all working families

help people find a job that pays the mortgage

start giving tax breaks to to companies that create good jobs right here in America

eliminate capital gains taxes for the small businesses and the startups that will create the high-wage, high-tech jobs of tomorrow

fix health care

make affordable, accessible health care for every single American

lower your health care premiums

fix education

invest in early childhood education

provide every child a world-class education

invest in new schools

recruit an army of new teachers, and pay them higher salaries and give them more support

help families pay for college

In ten years, we will finally end our dependence on oil from the Middle East

tap our natural gas reserves

invest in clean coal technology

find ways to safely harness nuclear power

help our auto companies retool, so that the fuel-efficient cars of the future are built right here in America

make it easier for the American people to afford these new cars

invest 150 billion dollars over the next decade in wind, solar power and the next generation of biofuels

invest in new roads

invest in new science and technology

change our bankruptcy laws

protect Social Security for future generations

keep the promise of equal pay for an equal day's work

finish the fight against al-Qaida and the Taliban in Afghanistan.

and rebuild our military to meet future conflicts.

I thought he claimed to be "different", "not your typical Washington insider".....he sounds just like any other liberal democrat I've ever hear of!

The fools that believe him.  Carter and EVERY president since has promised to get us off of foreign oil.  Take those promises with a grain of salt and instead focus on who has better plans.  Obama, when you take away his recycled rhetoric, there isn't much left.

Yeah, i had the same question until i realized that Obama plans to skyrocket the taxes on the "rich" people in order to finance these glorious welfare programs, and "changes"

No Obama is not the second coming and anyone who believes that is truly a fool.  And you are right, all of those things you listed can not be done.  The fact is all politicians make promises they can not keep.  When he gets in office, if he should win he will see that the mess that we have to deal with will not be so easily resolved.  I believe that he may make some good changes but in reality most of those things you listed will not change immediately.

I don't see a list of what McCain is proposing. I am sure its just as long. Everthing Obama is saying sounds really good to me. Thats why I will vote for him.  Would life be so bad if he could do all of these things. That is why it is called Hope. And definately would be a Change.

Obama isn't the "Second Coming."  He could be different if he finally cuts all the useless c**p in our budget.  That should free up more than enough money to accomplish most of these goals.
