Obama had nothing to do with this.  Palin herself broke the story and Obama condemned those who were exploiting it.

Palin said about Hillary, "[W]hen I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism or, you know, maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, man, that doesn't do us any good."

Stop whining on Palin's behalf because she doesn't like that.

Why would he need to even pull a "Hillary"? She has so many problems, that she'll be her own destruction. Not getting into her personal life with the whole pregnant/drunk daughter, here are just a few:

1) She is a pro life fanatic.

2) She has ties to Big Oil.

3) Alaska lawmakers are investigating whether Palin abused her power in firing a public safety commissioner.

4) She served in her statehouse 20 months. Obama served in his statehouse for eight years.

5) She was mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, a town of 6,500 where the biggest issue is controlling growth and the biggest civic worry is whether there will be enough snow for the Iditarod dog-mushing race.
