I think Democrats and Republicans need each other. Without Reps, the Dems would pull us to Communism. But, without Dems, Reps. would drag us to Fascism. It's the constant tension that keeps us in the middle.

Obama is far, far left and McCain is the left end of right, so no matter what, we are moving a little left this election. That's why so many moderate Democrats are supporting John McCain. He is closer to their beliefs, regardless of what the DNC would like everyone to believe.

Anyone who thinks Obama is a communist either doesn't know much about Obama or doesn't understand what communism is.  Republcians just figure 'communism' is something bad so Obama must be that.

It shows you how well right-wing news sources and pundits have educated conservatives and Republicans in the US.  Basically political discourse consists of simply making up whatever bad things you can think of to say about your opponents.  Because, after all, Republicans could never make any headway with voters if they stuck to the actual facts.

Communism: all property is held in common - usually in our world a totalitarian form of government controlled by a dictator.

Obamunism:  Democrats and Republicans must work together if anything is going to be done about the war, about the economy, about gas prices, about global warming, about health care.
