Okay, I currently have DirectTV, Verizon DSL, and Verizon (Phone), and am paying a bundle of money. I was wondering if Optimum Triple Play is worth getting? What are the fees of the $100 deal is over? How are the phone and dsl connections? How is Customer Service/Tech Support?

  1. The phone works great. Lots of features, no toll charges. Be aware that you'll have no service during power failures unless you have battery backup (UPS) for your Optimum modem.

When I changed from DSL to Optimum, my internet service improved greatly. Much faster. DSL is limited by how far you are from the Telco.

I've never used DirectTV, but the Optimum TV reception is superb. I have an HDTV and those channels are free. I have noticed that it worked better before I had the DVD cable box.

  2. The first year is worth it, I think it came out to $110/month with the remote fees for 2 tvs. Never had any problems with the service, and tech support was pretty helpful the few times I had to call.  After a year, it jumped up to $160/month.
