  1. I hope NOT, that kid will take a beating.

  2. chavez is not even close to oscar league

  3. Most likely no, but it IS a possibility.  Oscar De Le Hoya has recently stated that he would like to fight Miguel Cotto for the final fight of his career in December as long as Cotto gets by Antonio Margarito.  If Margarito wins and Oscar does not want to face him since he has made no mention of Margarito, then Chavez, Jr. is a direct possibility.  I personally don't think that it will happen because Chavez, Jr. is NO WHERE NEAR ready, and the fight would result in an ugly beatdown at the hands of Oscar before he knocks him out.  Chavez, Jr. has not done anything to warrant a match with Oscar De La Hoya, and the only reason why he would get this fight is because of his name.  The fight would sell very well on pay per view due to the whole "revenge" factor because Oscar twice knocked out Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr. and this would be Junior's chance at avenging his father's knockout losses.  I just don't think it will happen because it would be so umcompetitive and a Cotto-De La Hoya fight would be MUCH more intriguing and competitive, and it would do better on PPV.  Even if Cotto loses and Oscar does not want to face Margarito, there are still better fights out there besides Chavez, Jr. such as Manny Pacquiao, Sergio Mora, Paul Williams, or even the Judah-Clottey winner.  So, in short, a Chavez, Jr. is possible, but it will most likely rightfully not happen.

  4. This fight will NEVER  happen. Oscar already said he's only fighting once or twice and Chavez Jr. isn't anywhere near ready for a fight like that. Put it this way, Chavez Jr. has only been put in the ring w/ opponents that stand as much of a chance of beating him as my grandma. (Since u don't know my grandma, i'll just tell u that it is a 0% chance). Think more along the lines of:

    1. If cotto win his showdown versus Margarito:

                Cotto v. De La Hoya

    2. CHavez Jr. v. 'Macho' Camacho Jr.

This is actually an interesting match-up since u may recall both of their fathers also fought against each other.

  5. de la hoya says he doesnt want to figth julio cesar chavez junior because he has alot of respect to his dad julio cesar chavez.

  6. No. There is simply no reason for de la hoya to fight Chavez--- no economic reason, no challenge, and nothing for reputation.  No real desire by fight fans to see them fight, and therefore no financial incentive.  Chavez has not proven himself against quality opposition, while de la Hoya has fought and beaten so many former, current, and future world champions.  Beating a fighter like Chavez would add nothing to de la Hoya's reputation as a fighter, champion, and future hall of famer.

  7. I dont think so Chavez Jr would have to gain major weight!

  8. they might... if oscar wants to break his own record, he has to do this....  fighting the son of jcc would draw so much people... its only if jcc jr. would be up for it... because i see oscar winning easily....
