Is Oxi-clean an environmentally friendly product?

I no longer use bleach but I need something to whiten my whites!! I looked on the oxi-clean website but I can't find an ingredient list.

Oxi-clean is  H2O2 -- hydrogen peroxide.  I am not sure if there are other ingredients in it that may hurt the environment but I would assume not.

I don't know about all the products, I looked at a bottle of oxiclean stain remover I still have in the house and it contains surfactants. There are also precauctions to wash hands after use. I use borax which is similar to baking soda, but has a higher PH, occasionally for whites, I've had the same box for years. I will be adding oxygen bleach to my routine, it is hydrogen peroxide and washing soda.

Good for you bleach is nasty!  I work for a Green Company...so being Green is very close to my heart...

I would think that Oxi Clean has some nasty ingredients in it aside from what is on the label.  Labeling in our country is so misleading.  Did you know our government allows manufacturers to Not list the ingredients on a label, and/or to list an ingredient under a different name to mislead us?  That is not fair to the consumer.  Anyway...

Melabrite is what I use and it works great!  It's sold by Melaleuca.  Melaleuca has about 400 green products and their laundry soap is awesome too.  One ounce cleans a huge load of laundry.

So not only am I saving money but I am saving plastic that goes in to the land fill.

Did you know that bleach and Chlorine is banned in all of Europe because it is known to cause cancer.  Chlorine is also one of the leading causes of asthma in children.  

All of your commercial household products including your detergent have phosphates, chlorine and other nasty things that not only cause us illnesses but they are destroying our planet.   Best of luck....email me if you need more help.
