i'm a girl. i've had my first period for many years ago now, back when i was 10. sure i get cramps and stuff, but i'm never cranky, just in pain. i dont use PMSing as an excuse to treat people all rude and i hate it when other girls do that i think it's stupid and a myth.i think they just want to get attention..."ooh i'm gunna bleed for a week so i'll make a huge fuss about it".... but i want to for sure, like is it scientifically proven PMSing causes a bad mood? it could just be me that doesnt get affected and i could be ignorant so no offense people.

  1. No, just being female does it...

  2. it's the hormones in ur body that go crazy sometimes and that throws a women of balance which results in moods swings meaning crankiness. u've only seen the beginning of ur monthlies wait until u get older it will get worse.

  3. It causes a source of moods and they range greatly from women to women and even cycle to cycle.

The chemicals in a womens body change during different times of the month and that is what causes the mood swings.

  4. I don't know about you buy when I don't feel good I am a *****. And the hormones don't help either.

  5. well everybodys different, like you dont really have a change in mood when you have your period, some people dont even have any symptoms but it is proven that some women have changes in their mood when they have their period

  6. You yourself just said you never get cranky when you have PMS, so how  would you know what it feels like and why are you judging those who do?

It is a known fact that fluctuating hormones could cause PMS, some symptoms are Anxiety, irritability, mood swings, depression and some even contemplate suicide. It all depends on each women's hormones.

If you do not deal with any of these, count yourself lucky because it sucks!

One thing I will tell you now, is as you get older, your menstrual cycle will more than likely change and you might end up with PMS.The first few years of mine, I barely has cramps and I had no PMS.

Now I get cramps, pains in my girlie parts and get all the "lovely" PMS c**p like Anxiety/depression etc.

    No fun.
