  1. I wish I could go there!!!!=(

  2. Palermo is a most interesting city in Scicley.Scillians are not above making you aware of the difference between being an Italiano and a Scilliano.they share some simalarities,but make no mistake, there are regional,language,food and cultural differerences.Palermo is fascinating there are so many layers of history from ancient to modern.Did you know that Scicley wanted to become one of America's new states after WW11.Go to Palermo if you can  uwill love it.

  3. I thaught so. It does seem crowded, but the Catacombs were interesting, as well as the nearby Monreale Cathedral.

  4. Palermo is a good place to visit, but don't limit yourself to just Palermo, although there is much to see and do in Palermo.

    Monreale is very near, with a beautiful Norman Cathedral.  Also Segesta, with its Greek temple - beautiful!  And Cefalu and its cathedral, as well as its nice, quiet beach area.

    To the west is Trapani, and Marsala, where the wonderful Marsala wine comes from.

    Further afield are Piazza Armerina, with the Villa del Casale, discovered, buried in mud, in the 1950's, where you can see the most beautiful and best preserved Roman mosaics in the world.

    Then there is Taormina, a very nice resort area on the east coast, below Mt. Etna, one of the most active volcanoes in Europe.

    There are many more places to see in Sicily, as well, but seeing them would depend on the amount of time you have.

  5. If it's as good as the Pizza Parlor outside Chicago byt e same name, I say it's a great place to visit. I don't know wuch, but Italy is great in itself and go for the adventure, even if you don't have the best time, you still cna find it to be fun ans exciting.
