Is Palin's family really the best role model for young teenagers in our country?

Although i congratulate bristol on the baby and marriage? Im wondering is Palin the best role model for teenagers? Doesnt our country already have one of the highest rate for teenage pregnancy? and if you look at the stats it has only gone up in the past few years... also getting married is a blessing but if you get married at a young age in high school than thats not the best thing b/c at the time people change... I almost feel sorry for her being pressured to get married to the father b/c her mother is running for vp... I wish her much luck tho...

I'm not going to knock Palin for her daughter getting pregnant. It happens.

But remember when the conservative christian types hated Hillary Clinton for being a career woman when she should have been home raising her daughter.

I think Chelsea turned out just fine.

Stepping into the national spotlight when you anti-abortion, anti-birth control and for abstinence only education when you have an unwed pregnant teen isn't too bright.  She set that family up for ridicule.

She shouldn't have accepted VP considering she's suppose to be such a Christian conservative.

Bush's millions burned on 'Abstinence' resulted in higher teen age pregnancies rather than having counter effect. Yes these people are so against 'educating' children about the responsibilities and STD's, but they are so hung up on black and white issue - no s*x no s*x no s*x before marriage.

It is 21st century, people HAVE s*x even when not married. It is our responsibility to teach children and help them make better choices. When you're the hype this is what happens.

So how is she a role model for the fundie right now???

Yes they are good role models because Bristol is taking responsibility for the life she has created. And its nice to see a family not shun someone and be evil towards them for creating life.
