The Arizona senator himself has said that the most important test of a vice presidential candidate is whether that person is fully qualified to be president on short notice.

  1. SHE IS NOT. By the way, does anybody know if she's got a passport or has ever used it?

  2. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ........no.

  3. absolutely not.  no foreign policy knowledge...she has never been to Iraq nor dealt with the Middle East conflict....no qualifications governing a body of people beyond population of 600,000 - less than any major US city.

but wait...she's a mom.  ahhh...I'm relieved (feel the sarcasm?)

  4. Yes.

  5. Yes, absolutely. For the record, and you can look this up, Woodrow Wilson had a stroke  and his wife ran the country in secret for two years. Unofficially, we had a woman president in 1919.

  6. Well Mccain called Obama the inexperienced one, eventually picks a woman who is just as inexperienced as Obama but god forbid if something happens to Mccain in office then what would Reps say about inexperience ?

I think they now can't raise any questions about experience

  7. there is no real test that could ever let us know if someone is truly qualified.  However, she has had executive experience for a very short amount of time.  Obama has had legislative experience for a very short amount of time.  Both have a partner that has had years with behind them.  Either way you go, one or the other, someone is going to win with a senior politician and a junior politician.

  8. Yes she is way more qualified than Biden.

  9. Is Obama fully qualified to be president?  Clinton had only been a governor of Arkansas?  Hillary had no political office until she was elected Senator from a state she never lived in.  Obama has been a Senator almost 3 years and spent almost 2 of those years in full time campaign mode.  Let's face it, if we are talking about actually years in national level politics, only McCain and Biden have real long term experience and between these two, only McCain is running for President.

  10. Yep! She has a much longer resume than obama and is a decent human being. Palin rocks!

  11. She was mayor of Wasilla, Alaska for two years and Governor of a state that has 683,000 people.  I doubt if she has ever been to Dayton (a city with more people than the whole state of Alaska), or the state of Ohio, or even the midwest before today.  Then again...she was runner up in the Miss Alaska beauty contest - so she's probably really good with lipstick and a push-up bra.

  12. it's so d**n obvious that everybody here are just a bunch of bush/mccain losers ! Give me a break people more experience than biden ?you got to be kidding me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!!

  13. Since she has more experience than Obama; I guess I would have to ask in rebuttal does that mean Obama is unqualified to be president?

Cause if you claim Obama is qualified, then Palin is qualified by default because she has more experience than Obama and is the only candidate with executive experience.

  14. Nope, she doesn't even know what a VP does! it true!

  15. The real question should be is Obama really ready to lead this nation after 140 working days in the senate?!

  16. She's more qualified to be VP than Obama.

  17. The answer is a resounding NO.

  18. More qualified than the democratic nominee after a long campaign and a full vetting!

  19. I was open and waiting for Nov to really make my choice, BUT then McCain came out with Ms. Palin.  Who is this woman?  She's from Alaska the 60th state!  She's been Governor for 2 years... woopie!

    I'm insulted as a woman.

I loved Hiliary and thought that she would have been a great president, but if McCain thinks that he can just put anyone w/ breast and *** on the ticket and women are stupid enough to vote for him, then he really doesn't get it.

So what she's Governor, it's Alaska dammit w/ the population of 600.

And she's lying already, she was all for the road to no where bridge, now she gets on stage and make a statement how she was against it, and told the "good ole boys" No.

I'm not going to sit this election out because of McCain and Obama, my vote counts and I'm sorry, but Obama just might have scored one more w/ me.

    I'm disappointed in McCain.

And for those that say, she's only the VP.  The VP might have to step into the President's shoes at any time, especially in McCain's place... he's over 70!  What condition will this country be in if she's has to take over.  You must take this into consideration.  Elections are important to every American.  We've had Bush for 8 years and although McCain's policy were too close to Bush, I still considered him, but this last stunt has pissed me off.

If he wanted a woman... w/ strength, background and is known, he could have pick Condoliza (however you spell her name), but Sara Palin... who the h**l is she and what makes her a good candidate for VP.

Come on people, I'm not trying to get anyone to vote for Obama, you do what your heart tells you, but this is scary.  McCain met her once.  You're going to tell me he was so amazed, smittened, blown away by her political views and  accomplishment that he looked over Roomney, Liberman, etc.

    Come the h**l on.

  20. In a word, No. botox Barbie is qualified to do nothing. She only obtained a Bachelor's in Journalism, but they consider being a soccer mom and former beauty queen to be qualifying material. And how did he select her as Vice President when she is clueless as to what a vice president does..boneheads.

  21. most importantly she is in touch with reality

  22. Yes, but hopefully she can learn even more on the job and be elected in her own right in 2012 or 2016.

  23. She is.  I couldn't agree with mccain's choice more.  She is a very strong leader.

  24. Yes Palin is more qualified than Obama and Biden

  25. I think she'd make a positively great President! She's sharp, smart, she'd muster respect from abroad, and she speaks her mind. She's a solid conservative with family values. She's the ONE PIECE of good news I've seen in an otherwise dreary campaign season.

  26. Not at all

  27. No but qualifications don't seem to matter anymore nowdays.

  28. Is anyone qualified to be president on short notice?  I mean really, no matter how much experience you have, that is one h**l of a shocker for ANYONE.  To be told....oh by the way, you are now the POTUS! Anyone who is fully prepared to takeover if the President suddenly dies has a lot of explaining to do in my opinion.

"absolutely not. no foreign policy knowledge...she has never been to Iraq nor dealt with the Middle East conflict....no qualifications governing a body of people beyond population of 600,000 - less than any major US city. "

Well, she went to Kuwait to visit the troops back in July 07--before anyone would've guessed she could have been VP candidate. Obama's been...how many times? Twice? And the second one only after political pressure. Hmmm.

Oh and Obama doesn't have experience governing any body. None. Palin has governed both a town and one of our most important states--the largest state by area with vast amounts of natural resources.

  30. She doesn't even know what a vice-president does (her words) how can she be president.

  31. If McCain would have chosen Mitt Romney we would have still had the same "notice".  I don't understand your question.

Palin knew she was being vetted for over two months.
