Is Papier Mache hard to learn?

I always like taking up new hobbies... and I'm interested in learning papier mache but I've never been familiar with it...

  1. I learned to do this technique in school used  clay as the base and then cut up strips of newspaper , and then glued it!  We were making mannequins, so much fun , after every dried you painted and glazed it! Cheers!!

I've seen that people go about this hobby differently.  The basic method is when you either cut or tear a bunch of newspaper pieces and adhere it to a frame of some sort (usually balloons or wire) with a flour paste mix.  Some use watered down white glue.  What's awesome about this is that you can create any shape you like, paint it and glaze it. ...... nice.

  3. Heck No! Most 3rd Graders know how to do it. -Just ask one of your little Nieces, Nephews, or Cousins- & they'll "walk You through it..." It's a LOT of fun actually... Even an Adult can do it!  :)
