Is Paroxetine/Generics pills and Seroxat the same medicine?

I was watching a show about a pill named Seroxat and how dangerous it is,I have depression and ocd so my doctor gave me Paroxetine/Generics pills but I googled Seroxat and the results where "Seroxat:Paroxetine" so is seroxat and Paroxetine/Generics the same pill,I mean it can be dangerous?or it might both have paroxetine but with different recipe?please I'm afraid to take my pills

  1. I believe they are the same exact thing. I am currently taking 60 mg's of paroxetine per day and I haven't had any problems yet but I did lose my s*x drive. People seem to complain about the drug "pooping out" after time but I haven't experienced that yet and I've been on it for nearly a year. Also people complain about withdrawl symptoms that are supposed to be pretty harsh if you stop the drug. But like I said, the drug is working pretty well for me now so I have no complaints yet.
