Is PayPal safe using a Debit Card?

How does PayPal work? I am not even sure I can even use debit cards and will it transfer money immediately? Also, how much will I be charged for sending or receiving money? What if I get robbed by a con artist from eBay and he sends me a box of rocks? How can I make sure everything is safe? How do I know which sites are safe? Also what type of PayPal account do I sign up for my debit card if I can?

i would not use my personal card.go get a girt certificate creidt card.you can get them from your bank,wal-mart.it's refillable that way people can't use your number and security codes  for anything else.and 98.3 percent of online jobs are scams.you can get their information and contact the b.b.b that's better business bureau.  keep yourself safe...hope this helps.

Also, how much will I be charged for sending or receiving money? You will not be charged for sending a payment using PayPal but if you are accepting a payment through PayPal (seller) the receiving fee is 2.9% of the transaction amount.

What if I get robbed by a con artist from eBay and he sends me a box of rocks? If you use PayPal and you were conned by the seller on eBay you can file a claim on PayPal and they will investigate the seller. If the seller is a fraud you'll get your money back.

How can I make sure everything is safe? In my experience, all my PayPal transactions were safe because they don't expose my information to the seller, Just make sure you don't share your log in information with anyone

How do I know which sites are safe? as long as you use paypal to send the payment, it's safe

Also what type of PayPal account do I sign up for my debit card if I can? you can use a regular account (a Personal Account to use your debit card. basically all types of accounts can use this feature
