Is Pelosi full of gas or invested in wind?

Speaker Pelosi, who has taken a lot of heat and pressure herself for leading this "drill nothing" Congress, talked on Sunday's "Meet The Press" about an energy policy as incoherent as that of her party's presidential candidate, Barack Obama.

"I believe in natural gas as a clean, cheap alternative to fossil fuels," she said at one point. Natural gas "is cheap, abundant and clean compared to fossil fuels," she said at another. http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?secid=1501&status=article&id=304644303414861&secure=1&show=1&rss=1

  1. Look, this is not about the environment. it is about sending more and more billions of dollars into countries who hate the USA and some are at war with the USA There can only be one possible agenda for doing this. Of course she may or may not know, natural gas is a fossil fuel, it doesn't matter. Perhaps she has never witnessed a small amount of gas as it explodes? No one is a car who's (natural) gas tank explodes will be alive to tell about the accident.

  2. Pelosi is invested in Pickens plan.  Just another politician using their power in office to line their pockets!!

  3. This is just ridiculous.  She should inform herself fully about the issues before telling us what we should do.

  4. "But, that is — that is the marketplace," she replied, explaining that the market is so big her meager investment was trivial and irrelevant. "That's not the point," she said. "I'm investing in something I believe in." Oh. And here we thought investments were made on the expectation of profit."

pelosi is for pelosi, that is one thing we can depend on.  in her own words:

  5. Hmm... she and her rich husband have money invested in Republican T Bone Picken's alternative energy fund. It seems like a smart investment to me, and a small one considering how rich she and her husband are.

And it's funny that this is an issue since Republicans never questioned Bush and Cheney's intimate associations with the oil industry, the fact that Haliburton got no bid contracts in Iraq or that Iraq, at the time of the invasion, had the second largest oil reserves in the world.

  6. Nancy has become a liability to the country and she should go and she will.  I think she knows her time is up. Now she is really saying absurd things.  What is with her?  All her promises about changing government and being for the people and the Congress is more bogged down than ever.  I know it isn't her fault alone but at least when you are on Meet the Press try and be somewhat coherent.  Its the least you can do Nanc.

  7. *LOL* That just goes to show you how far our legislators have fallen in quality. Will some one tell Nancy Pelosi that natural gas IS fossil fuel unless she's talking about flatulence. You can burn that but it stinks! *BG* We used to use Butane to power our trucks in the farm and drive our tractors. There's nothing wrong it using CNG. And it is cleaner than gasoline and diesel by far.

The problem with CNG is you can't go to just any service station and fill up with CNG. and how long does Nancy think it would take before there's are CNG stations that can replace gas stations. I'd pay for the conversion kit if I could get the CNG.

  8. Isn't compressed natural gas, a fossil fuel??  How much drilling do we need to do for that 'natural gas'?  Can you retrofit current gasoline cars, to run on CNG?

I've heard T. Boone Pickens talk about it, but when is anybody going to do something??  Gas Stations, and cars that run on the stuff?

My understanding is, heavy equipment and trucks can run on that compressed natural gas?

Still, lot of vague and nebulous talk, is all I've seen?  I'm in the market for some fuel efficient car.  I'd pay a little extra for a natural gas auto. I live in south Texas.  Right now, I couldn't even buy fuel for a car like that??

  9. I believe that she is over medicated. Reverting to childish leftist taunts like, "Can we just drill your head" has pretty much made it clear that this woman has no business in a position of authority over anyone.

  10. I'm not sure what pelosi is. I thought a woman, but women do have a bit of common sense. She says every thing about all things and I never know what she means. Best double talk I ever tried to translate.

  11. -Democrats,forget it!

  12. I say bean Pelsoi up and you know where to drill! She is the most idiotic speaker we have ever had, and has set the fight for women's rights back 100 years. We need to drill now

  13. She is way out of touch with reality. It is in part because of her that the approval rating of Congress is at about 10 percent. What goes on in San Francisco should stay in San Francisco!

  14. She is just side stepping the issue.  Yes, there are other resources but people need to afford to convert first.  People need to eat first.

Give us something we can do now and work on the alternatives in the meantime.

Pelosi is both... full of gas and full of hot air.
