Interestingly enough the Taliban and other militant groups are the happiest because they feel less of a threat from Gilani. I'm glad the military has retained autonomy and wonder who is in charge of the Pakistani Military forces.

  1. he is out, but he is planning his nexr coup.

  2. Simple... the Pakistani Military is in charge of the Pakistani Military.

Musharaff has become an incresingly difficult problem for the military and, since THEY and THEY ALONE had the power to get rid of him... that is what happened.  The only reason they have put up with him for so long is ALL THE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS the Bush Administration has poured into Pakistan (read: the Military and the crooked politicians) and, now that the Bush Administration is on it's way out and the rest of the world KNOWS that McCain is NOT going to be the next president (the only people who DON'T know that Obama WILL be the next President... are the AmeriKans)

What worries me is... Pakistan is a MUSLIM NATION with NUCLEAR WEAPONS and the NORTH of the country is ALREADY in Taliban hands.. (something the Bush Administration has not bothered to tell the gullible AmeriKan public).  Bush is too busy trying to get permission to bomb Iran to look at the REAL threat that could come from a country that ALREADY HAS NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND MISSLES TO DELIVER THEM.
