  1. uhhh idk but hey the vet will tell you

  2. Considering that this type of guinea pig always looks like it has bed-head all over its body, it's possible that it looks like it has bald spots.

  3. Most guinea pigs -- regardless of breed -- will have small "bald" patches behind each ear.  This is pretty common.  Why it's there, I've no idea, but it's perfectly fine.

You can kind of see a bit of "bald" spotting behind the ear in the picture.

When in doubt ALWAYS refer to a trained professional....a VET.

  4. It is true that the way the hair turns leaves some patches of skin exposed, especially at their ears. But it is always a good idea to take your new pet to the vet for a check up. If anything is wrong with your pig, the vet can tell you for certain.

~How large are the patches? Are they slightly scabbed? Could you post a clear picture of the patch?

  5. PetSmart sucks anyway, but usually guinea pigs don't have hair behind their ears (which I think is kind cute) So long as its nice and pink skin, & not scaley or dry he's just fine. ^_^ If you think its something else (like ringworm) you can check for that yourself at home because it shows up under a blacklight.
