  1. It depends what bottled water, but some, Yes!

  2. i'd say about the same, but what makes the difference is the cleanliness of the tap you are using and how clean your plumbing is.

  3. I live in Philly - I drink tap water but I don't know if it is better that bottled water.  Where did you read that?

  4. who cares waters water

  5. no, bottle water is the best especially Ozarka

  6. I buy distilled water, then filter it w/ a Brita type filter. Tap has too many additives, and traces of pharmaceuticals.

  7. No I like dasani better and i also live in philly high five

  8. Save the bottles from a landfill and use a filtration system - like a britta pitcher.

  9. No.

  10. bottled water of course

  11. Well I live in Philly too and we know our tap water contains some nasty stuff. I recently read an article where they can find trace amounts of prescription drugs in our water. http://cbs3.com/local/Pharmaceuticals.Ph...

However bottled water may not be much better due to the new findings that most of the plastic bottles contain cancer causing agents.

From doing research, I've found that depending on the number stamped in the recycling arrows shows exactly what type of plastic is safer than others. Try googling plastic 3 if you are interested.

  12. depends on where it comes from..and if it has a filter..or it should be fine

  13. no

  14. it don't really matter

  15. The answer is a "it depends".  First, you have to define "better".  In general, bottled water will have lower levels of contaminants, but not all bottled water will pass this test. The majority of bottled water is tap water with an extra purification step.  Another difference is that tap water is tested daily while bottled is not. Also, tap water is better for the environment - no plastic bottle.  The second part of "better" is taste.  Many people do not realize that absolutely pure water has ZERO taste.  In taste tests, tap water usually beats bottled water.  In Europe they sell packs of ingredients to make bottled water taste like tap and well water.  So the answer is, drink what you can afford and which one tastes better.  Short of testing them often, that is the best answer.
