More similar to Chinese than Japanese, however if you want to find out more about Phillipine cuisine, you should check out the cuisines from its neighboring countries (or any country from southeast asia) such as vietnamese, indonesian, thai, cambodian, etc--or even Hawaiian. Fili cuisine is similar to HI cuisine in a way that in Fili cuisine, they use pineapples, coconut, pacifican agriculture products--just like any pacific island cuisines :)

Better yet, try it and see how you like it. Maybe it's even incomparable to other cuisines!
