Is Phoenix not the place to be a slow driver? Will doing Sunday type driving get you killed there?

I visited once and it just seemed like traffic moves pretty fast like you have to have an idea of where you are going miles ahead. So is it basically like you cannot see the scenery while driving in Phoenix?

Sunday type driving will get you killed in almost any major city! Go with the flow of traffic and don't be a hazard to others. If you really want to look around let someone else drive. Or go during rush hour so you will go really slow.
