  1. It is a great career choice.  I would check on the demand for that job field by doing a search on the net for career outlook for physical therapy.  Sometimes I have heard the field is saturated and sometimes I hear it is wide open.  You don't want to waste time getting a degree for a field that already has to many people in it.

  2. In the last few years, the demand for physical therapy has steadily climbed and is predicted to continue to climb at a rate "much faster than average" according to the bureau of labor and statistics.

The career is very rewarding as was recently named one of the top three most satisfying careers. PTs make a "comfortable living", but certainly not extravagant.  Most PTs earn between $51-70,000, yet some make much more than this.

The downsides are the competitive entrance and length of education (6-7 years).

  3. It's a very good career and you will get a lot of satisfaction and pride for helping people. I think they are pretty much always looking for PT's.

  4. Great career, good hours & work place, but does take quite a bit of schooling.
