  1. Jesus casted demons into pigs once and the pigs jump off a cliff into the water and drowned

  2. It is considered unclean by Jews.and Muslims.

  3. The Law of Moses has been done away in Christ.

  4. I guess you never saw the movie "Babe"  how can an animal be possessed?

  5. Any animal can be possessed by demons.  Swine is just one.  The reason a Christian might avoid the eating of swine is the admonition to be consecrated (set apart) for Christ, aside from the obvious health issue of eating an animal that is, in essence, a garbage dispose-all.

  6. Jesus cast devils out of a man into swine (pigs) and drowned them. But Jesus said you need to be more aware of what's coming out of your mouth than what's going in it.

  7. lol The only pigs that were possessed by devils in the Bible immediately killed themselves, so if you see a pig trying to kill itself, then maybe it's possessed but if it is not, then you have genuine uninhabited pig.

  8. I think you have your facts confused.  Its the Jews that aren't supposed to eat pig, not because its possessed by the devil but because it isn't a Kosher animal

  9. bible forbids eating pigs cause those who wrote it lived in the desert.

in the desert pigs get sick more often and carry dangerous deseases, so the early bible-writers wanted to protect their people from getting sick.

but the people got it all wrong(saying pig is unclean creature by nature)- pis are ok, as long as they are healthy.

  10. Me like pork chop. Me like ham. It is in the Bible and it goes like this. Our Lord Jesus was at a city, Outside of the city was a man possessed by demons. Near by was a herd of pigs. The towns people asked the Lord to drive the demons out of this man. So our Lord Jesus did that, sending the demons into the pigs. Even the pigs knew of the demons and instead of living with the demons they committed suicide by jumping off a cliff and drowning in the sea. Bacon still good!

Warning: the pig in this story were real as is the demons. Do not trying the pig cure at home. If this is or may be your situation please call on the expert. The Lord Jesus. toll free 1- HEAVEN call now! The Lord is standing by for your call.

  11. Religion is nothing more than a way for the clever few to control the ignorant masses.

Pigs harbour a range of parasites and diseases that can be transmitted to humans. These include trichinosis, Taenia solium, cysticercosis, and brucellosis. Pigs are also known to host large concentrations of parasitic ascarid worms in their digestive tract. The presence of these diseases and parasites is one of the reasons why pork meat should always be well cooked or cured before eating. Some religious groups that consider pork unclean refer to these issues as support for their views.

Now let's use Bronze Age reasoning.  They would have no idea about the true causes of why people die when they eat pig.  No clue about germ theory (you'd think an all knowing god would've at least sent out a memo in that perfect book of his right?)  Oh I know!  Let's say god told them not to eat pigs!  (cut to dramatic music with the cliche lightning and thunder sounds).  I do give them credit for at least imposing something that saved lives instead of caused more death (crusades, inquisition, witch trials, slavery, n**i appeasement, oppression of women and homosexuals, and worst of all, denying access of safe s*x education, birth control, and contraceptives to the christian run areas of africa that is still in an AIDS epidemic (90% HIV positive in some areas)!  all i got to say is W T F !!!

  12. At one time according to the Bible, Jesus cast some demons from a possessed man into a herd of pigs. The pigs then ran off a cliff. It does not say that all pigs are possessed or evil.

  13. Once the meat is properly cooked there is nothing nicer for Sunday lunch than pork and apple, delicious, slurp, then there's the crackling, mmmm.

  14. Is Pig/ Swine an animal possessed by the devil?   NO

because we are not under the Law we can eat pork.

Not every pig was possessed with a demon.

In the bible story the demons left a man and went into a herd of pigs.

  15. Jesus cast evil spirits into about 2000 pigs who then all travelled several kms away to the coast where they went and jumped of a cliff.  I just find it very strange that most Gods (including the Christian God and Muslim God) have a vested interest in pigs.

  16. Read 1 Timothy 4:3

say your grace, all is OK

  17. No, it's just unclean, meaning God never intended the pig to be food.

In Matthew, chapter 8, Jesus did send demons into a herd of swine, but pigs themselves are not "possessed."

They are scavengers and their bodies are not designed to eliminate the parasites they ingest, whereas "clean" animals (listed in the book of Deuteronomy) eliminate such contaminants and therefore their flesh is "clean" to eat.

No, Christians, nor anyone for that matter, should eat unclean animals, they are not healthy.

  18. A man was posesed by by many devils .  The devils asked Jesus not to send them to h**l but in to pigs in the near by field.Mark 5:1 " And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

2  And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

3  Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

4  Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

5  And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

6  But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

7  And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

8  For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

9  And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

10  And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

11  Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

12  And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

13  And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

14  And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

15  And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid." Luke 8 :27 " And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

28  When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

29  (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

30  And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

31  And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

32  And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

33  Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked."

  19. Pigs are clean, cute critters covered in crud to keep cool. They aren't possessed by demons.

  20. No

It was declared unclean in the old testament. (read Christopher Hitchens for speculation as to why) but the possessed by the devil idea comes from the story in the NT where Christ sportingly drives a legion of demons out of a man into a herd of swine. Just an idle thought, but what was a herd of swine doing in a Kosher country in the first place?

  21. There was an instance in the New Testament when Christ cast out some demons and they went into a nearby herd of swine, but I don't recall any instance where the entire species was supposed to be possessed.  Even the old Jewish law didn't forbid pork because of demonic possession.

  22. Oh, don't believe everything you read in books..

  23. I believe you're thinking of an episode in the New Testament in which Jesus exorcises a man possessed of a legion of demons.  The demons are diverted into a swine-herd which is nearby.  The swines go mad and jump off a cliff. Or the sea...or something.

It is not pigs in general that are possessed, just those unlucky ones that were hanging about at the time of exorcism.  And those topped themselves rather conveniently.  Most pigs are demon-free and delicious.

  24. No, pig are animals like any other.  However, two notes -- 1) God has declared that people are not to eat pig (not because it's possessed or the like, but because it is unhealthy -- Deuteronomy 14:8); and 2) in the New Testament, when Jesus encountered a man possessed by many demons, he allowed the demons to exit the man and enter into a herd of swine; the demons then proceeded to drive to pigs to their deaths (Matthew 8:28-34).
