Question:

Is Pinnacle Studios worth the money ?

I like editing movies but all I have right now is Windows Movie Maker, the one that comes with XP computers.

I have heard a lot about Pinnacle Studios and want to know:

a) Is it worth the cost?

b) Which one [advanced, simple, etc] is best for people like me, who have been making movies for a year or so, but are really into it?[Basically, will I understand advanced even if I am not a professional, and is it worth the extra cost?]

c) Do you own it? If so, how do you like it?

d) Is it the best [or one of the best] out there? Do you know of any other editing software?

e) Do you think I should get it? If so, should I get the new 12th edition? Or is an older one alright?

Please check out my *cough*few*cough* videos on Youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=Talky202

and tell me which is best for my style of videos.

I mostly make those type of montages/short videos but I will be making some with some actual dialog and a plot soon.

  1. yes I think it is if have been using pinnacle studio for around 5 years now starting with version 9 I recently upgraded to version 12 plus.

It enables me to produce very slick proffessional presentations using photos, video and graphics, one complaint however is that at present it is not always compatable with SmartSound audio tracks whcih is background music however there are ways to work around this..

I have produced presentations for u.k. based building and construction companies as well as New Zealand  Tourist Organsiations.

You can do as deeply into the visual effects etc as you want to.

It is always a learning curve
