  1. It should.

  2. i think that scenario applies to every track...

    ;-)

  3. yes, and that's because it, like a road course, is long enough so that you can pit and not lose a lap; thus, when you come out you are at the end of the lead lap. if a caution falls shortly thereafter, everybody else pits and you don't, and you move to the front.

at other tracks where you might go a lap down while pitting, it more often than not can backfire on you. if a caution comes out after you've pitted, you're still a lap down - you don't get to move to the front while all the lead lap cars pit. at best, you'll get the lucky dog if you are the first driver one lap down...

that's happened to kyle two weeks ago in the kentucky truck race. he was leading and came to pit road first, and while he was pitting chrissy wallace and jack sprague tangled and she ended up in the wall. that put rowdy a lap down; but he was the first a lap down, so he got the lucky dog and restarted from the back of the lead lap cars.

ps. clone troll, that's how i answer a question. read. learn.

  4. yeah if you're running in the back of the pack.

  5. It can but lately it does not seem to matter htere is always a car that is just ON Kain dropped to the back cna came up through the the field earlier, Denny Hamlin nearly want a lap down with a spin and still blew through the field. Rain is the only thing that would have affected the outcome of those races.

  6. pocono generally is boring

i hope they take a race from there to give to kentucky

  7. this strategy can be applied at any track. however, it usually does not work. most of the time , you just end up being a lap down!

  8. Yes.  I haven't seen it work in a long time though.  The #20 team has been notorious for doing that but even they changed strategy last race.  Pocono is different every race.  You pretty much roll the dice on strategy.

  9. The situation applies to every single track.

  10. Yes this can work to your advantage.  The idea is to anticipate the caution and pit before it is called.  If you see a car smoking, pit.  A car in the wall, pit.  Car out of fuel in the front stretch, pit.  As long as your spotter sees this and alerts the driver he can pit early.  If done properly it will work brilliantly.  However if you are late and pit road has been closed before you enter pit road you must start at the end of the longest line.
