  1. No, but is difficult to learn well. there a very few who actually make a career at it.

  2. Easy to learn, hard to master. Try playing free online poker for play money to get a better understanding of the intricacies of the game.

  3. Yes, it is little bit hard specially  if you don’t have any reference. Try searching blogs discussing poker for beginners. However, Freerolls are a good way to learn more about poker basics and sometimes they have nice rewards as well. When you start to hate freerolls then you start learning poker. Freerolls are also good starting point if you want to start your bankroll from zero.

  4. yes. imho, you need to study the hand rankings, minimum, to even figure out which hands to play and which to avoid (assuming you are interested in hold em.) it took me about a month and around 500 practice games to figure out the basics. i'm up to around 3k games now, and as you can see from my "ask" record, I'm not even close to being a serious player, although i just cashed out more money to bring my total cashouts to $1100 with a 22% ROI.

  5. Poker is a game that takes minutes to learn and a lifetime to master. Unfortunately, most of us never master :)

  6. Not really.  A few hours of reading or tuition will teach you the basics.  Much like learning pool or golf.  But being really exceptional at it, takes a lot of time and effort.

  7. No.
