Is Pornography An Art Form?

movies are considered art.

after seeing some of the stuff being passed off as 'art' why can't pornography be an art form?

By my hubby's view, it is!  We watch it to learn new moves and ways to intice eachother.

Yes.  A primary motive of art is to provoke an emotion or to inform or record a subject, (which means anything can be Art.)  mind you the trouble with pornography is that provoking emotion or developing our understanding of ourselves or the world we live in isn't its primary motive...it is designed to elicit a sexual response..so although i think that some pornography can be effective at that (see Jeff koons), most of it is simply for titivation (so i don't think it is very 'good' art.)

Yes believe it or not. I remember seeing a show where a director was talking about how a ******** scene can be the most dramatic..and is his most favorite to shoot.
