  1. no not at all he is still a great hitter with the injury he will not be able to play behind the plate so i don't think they will use Molina so if posada cant play behind the plate there is a chance of the Yanks signing him back

  2. no that doesn't mean anything it just means he might move to another team

  3. Posada done? No; the Yankees are going to be paying him through 2011, and unless his shoulder is so messed up that his arm falls off, they'll get him on the field in some capacity (one Pavano deal is enough).

Rodriguez isn't under contract after this year, so the commitment may be very short-term. He's caught 120+ games every season since 2003 (and is on pace this year), and while his best days are long past, he's league-average with the bat and still a considerable force behind the plate.

Good and surprising move by the Yankees. Essentially a surrender by the Tigers, though losing Rodriguez doesn't nail shut their 2008 coffin.

ARod and IRod together again for the second time.

  4. Oh.  OK.  No.  Posada will be the Yankee catcher next year.  They just got Rodriguez so they would have a good catcher the rest of the season while Posada is on the DL.

  5. no because since the yankees have pudge they would probaby trade posada when he is healed

  6. No not at all

  7. Not Really.

    Pudge is simply a replacement.

He has one season left on his current contract and I doubt he will be a Yankee next season.

So If all goes well Posada will be the starting catcher for the Yankees next year.

    Jack

  8. no, pudge is just a rental he is a FA after the year

  9. Pudge is a free agent after this year, and I doubt he would return to the Yanks.

  10. he's a free agent after the season.

  11. no he's been there too long

  12. depends how Pudge plays - if i were Jorge i'd be a bit worried...
