Notice that oil prices have "surged" today on reports that say supplies of sweet crude oil have dropped.

  1. looking at the pure facts, many people believe that if a democratic president is in office, oil will be cheaper, because they are not in league with oil companies, but in truth, Al Gore and most democratic candidates have advocated taxing oil.

Gore said that he would like to see gas at 7$ a gallon.

Obviously this would greatly injure the middle to lowermiddle class because they are the ones forced to buy used, non-efficient cars because of financial restrictions and also must commute to work daily. Therefore, a democratic tax on oil would hurt the lower middle class more than the supposedly money hungry republicans.

  2. No.

  3. Yes he is disappointed. Oil Companies give 50 times more money to Republican Politicians then Democratic Politicians. The fact is, Bush used to be on the board of an oil company and he is still in their pockets. John McCain is in their pockets too. Over 15 BIG oil companies have donated to McCain's Campaign this year. If you like 4.75/gallon gasoline, keep voting Republican. idiots

  4. Why should he be disappointed?  Are you one of those idiots who is completely unaware that President Bush has all of his investments placed in a blind trust in 1995?

Hint: In a blind trust the person is not informed as to how his money has been invested.

  5. Honestly, he has to be happy that oil prices have dropped in a way.  That is the only thing that will save his economy before he gets out of office.  He wants to go out believing he left the US a good economy, not a bad one.  Notice that he still won't really admit that the US economy is doing bad.

In another way he has to be a little disappointed, that's where all of his family's wealth has come from.  He just wants to see the economy do OK until he gets out of office, then I'm sure he hopes oil climbs as high as it can so he gets rich and can blame the new guy and say how much of a better job he did than the new guy.
