Can i use this medication to stop bleeding? I was on contraceptives but after i stopped taking it 6 months back, i got my periods now. And i have been bleeding from past 25 days. I need to get my medicals done for my visa extension for which i have to get a urine test done. And the condition for the medical test is that i should not be having my menstural cycle. I heard about this medicine, so i plan to use it for a few days to stop my cycle so i could give the test and then plan to stop the medication. Is it safe to do such a thing ? The medications name is Primolut N.And i am having hives developed on my upper part of the body.

  1. I think you should see a doctor about your bleeding for 25 days. This is not normal at all. A "normal" period does not last that long and there may be other factors in the picture which need attention - like a fibrome or endometriosis etc.

Primolut N will stop you from having a period but will not stop any other form of bleeding. Taking it in this case will put a strain on your hormone system without achieving the desired result.

I am an alternative health therapist, but in this case I do suggest that you consult a doctor!

There is probably no cause for alarm, but it would be best to stop this bleeding which is lasting too long and must be weakening you.

    All the best!
